ENERGY ACADEMY EUROPE Energy Lecture: “Making business of sustainable thinking” by Except

Are you interested in sustainable development of society? Would you like to get an insight in energy entrepreneurship?  On 10th of March, Tom Bosschaert gives an Energy Lecture on “making business of sustainable thinking”. The lecture will take place from 1:30 PM – 3 PM, in De Appel, at Zernikeplein 7, Van OlstToren in  Groningen.

Tom Bosschaert is recognized as a leader in sustainable thinking and a young inspiring entrepreneur. In 2014, he has been elected number 38 of most influential sustainability professionals in the Netherlands by Trouw. At the age of 19, Tom started his own company: “Except Integrated Sustainability”. Except’s mission is to create both profitable businesses and effective government to create the foundations for a sustainable society. They do so, by developing integrated systems for existing companies, cities and governance in order to reach their sustainability goals.

The Except team consists of 30 people that are strategists, researchers, and designers. The team have come up with the “SID systems- thinking framework” which speeds up strategic decision-making processes. In the Energy Lecture, Tom will elaborate on the SID-system.

Tom has a Master Degree in Industrial Design Engineering by Delft TU and Master Degree in Architecture by Yale University. He likes walking in nature, animals, happy people and web comics.

During the Energy Lecture, you will get the chance to discuss and tackle problems with this ambitious energy entrepreneur. The Energy Lecture is open to everyone, but could be especially interesting for those who are curious about sustainable development, architecture, design, strategic thinking and entrepreneurship. Also, those interested in the topic of leadership will get their inspiration needed!
