This Friday to Sunday, the Startup Fast Track Weekend takes place in Groningen, as a kick off for the second edition of the Startup Fast Track programme. After a strict selection, fifteen energy startups receive a pressure cooker training and coaching, providing their energy idea with an enormous boost.
Startup Fast Track is a tailor-made programme for new and young entrepreneurs in sustainable energy, giving the starting energy entrepreneurs the tools to succeed. The Startup Fast Track Weekend provides the participants with lab sessions, perspectives from the industry, pitch trainings, coaching sessions and workshops. The Startup Fast Track Weekend’s programme is facilitated by VentureLab’s top trainer Neil Sheridan. On Sunday evening the starters present their company in a new pitch to about ten coaches. After the weekend, the participants will enter a stage of challenging training programs and individual coaching by their coaches.
Expectations are high
For participant Marro Mijnans, team member of energy startup “Envitron”, the timing of the second edition of Startup Fast Track is excellent. “We’ve been working on our idea for 2,5 years, we’re more than ready!”. Mijnans’ expectations are high: “I expect to not only work on our product, but also on the entrepreneurial skills of our team”.
Unique and substantial programme
In Startup Fast Track, Energy Academy Europe is facilitating a collaboration with ENGIE, Hanze UAS, Value050, University of Groningen Centre of Entrepreneurship, VentureLab International North and EnTranCe. This collaboration allows a unique and substantial programme to be developed. “It’s essential to support entrepreneurs in the field of energy. These starting entrepreneurs need business acceleration programs with a specific expertise. Therefore, we have partnered with existing initiatives in order to create a unique and outstanding offer for energy startups, which resulted in Startup Fast Track”, says Tjerk Jansma, project manager of Startup Fast Track. Next to personalized coaching, participants of Startup Fast Track have a chance of increasing network visibility, and funding to € 10,000. For more information visit www.startupfasttrack.nl.
