This years 7th European Innovation Summit in Brussels was focused on the theme “Pact for innovation”, which calls for a closer cooperation between the major European innovation stakeholders in many different fields of expertise. The European Innovation Summit has been organized by Knowledge4Innovation (K4I) and took place from 7-10 December at the European Parliament in Brussels.
EnTranCe and the Hanze University of Applied Science, Groningen were represented at the Summit by (master) students, professors and lecturers:
At the opening debate ‘Energy Union-The remaining challenges’, leading lecturer Energy Transition Wim van Gemert presented the idea and vision of EnTranCe. One important focal point of this debate was the establishment of innovative laboratories within the European network.
At the dinner debate on Tuesday evening, six students of the European Master in Sustainable Energy Management System led the debate on the topic Share your Talent, move the world. There was a lively discussion about ethics, sustainability, the power of the European Parliament, innovation, research and many more.
At the end of the debate, Member of European Parliament Lambert van Nistelrooij thanked the students for the fresh ideas and stimulating questions. He further promised to take a number of ideas to the debate of the Energy Union, the Innovation Union.
