Combining renewable energy with the good vibe of a festival is a confirmed success, proven by the TransFuture Festival on June 18 & 19 at EnTranCe. New energy concepts and related products and services that are important for the transition towards a future sustainable energy infrastructure in the Northern provinces were showcased at this two-day festival.
Thursday, the first day, incorporated the business community with a grand debate on energy trends from local and European political players. Meanwhile, businesses such as Solentec, Park Management and Warmtestad presented their sustainable solutions in the Transition Tent. Demonstrations, tours and experiments created an innovative setting for companies, researchers and students to meet one another. The first day was closed by a great concert of Elske DeWall.
Energy Challenges brought fierce competition to EnTranCe on Friday when elementary and middle schools battled which school implemented the best energy-saving measures in the Netherlands.
A green gas bio-BBQ , drinks, popcorn and live performances from among others Robin IJzerman, Tied Laces, View For a Day and Orange Skyline kept the visitors entertained and completed the festival feeling. The TransFuture Festival was a great start to the weekend and towards a more sustainable future.
Next year is sure to be bigger, better and greener!
